This has affected the value of the original Ka which is good news for the used car buyer it is still a great reliable car. The price of a SportKa SE in 2007 was £10,000 to buy new. But the value has been halved in just three years with the Ka only fetching a price of £5,000.
If you are looking for another example, look no further than the Vauxhall Vectra. This vehicle has depreciated for many different reasons such as a huge supply and the fact that the Insignia has now arrived to replace it. In 2007 the price for a brand new 3.0 litre V6 CDTi Elite would have set you back £26,605 but just three years later it could be bought for £11,000.
The Volkswagen Phaeton is a more exclusive example. You would have been expected to pay a whopping £73,860 for a 6.0 litre W12 4Motion model three years ago but the price today for the same car is just £27,000.
There are some great cars out there being valued much lower than their performance deserves which is fantastic news for the used car buyer.
