When you go to pay your credit card bill make sure you pay no less than the minimum payments indicated on the bill. Never pay less than the amount you are to pay. By paying less than the minimum amount you will chalk up late payments which will affect your credit score.
4. Keep an Eye on Your Credit Report
You have to watch your credit report closely. When you do, make sure that you check Experian, TransUnion and Equifax which are the 3 different bureaus who keep you credit score on file. Once you receive it make sure you check it carefully for any mistakes, negative information or any accounts that you do not recognize.This will let you know what you need to do to start fixing these problems plus, you can see if you identity has been stolen.
