Living Without Measurement?

By plrprousers | March 16, 2010

It is almost certain to say that the world would not be the same without measurement. pressure measurement are certainly two things that have given us some great benefit.

Money

It would certainly seem that money is one of the most important things in the world as the more a nation has the more they have for their armies and the more powerful they become. Would there be anyway at all of people knowing how much and why without measurement. Crime would go up almost instantly if there was no money as people would not care about what they took as everything would be essentially free. The real fact is that we need measurement for money for all of the important calculations like exchange rates and tax to be made.

Medicine

Doctors would simply not know what to prescribe people if it wasnt for measurement? The fact is we certainly wouldn’t and measurement is as important as without it we would see many more people die or overdose every single year. I am actually a diabetic and without careful measurements of my bloods and looking into how much insulin I need to give myself I do not really have a chance.

Any Benefits From Not Having Measurement?

Well although I have been looking at what disadvantages we would have if we didn’t have the level transmitters and ultrasonic level measuring tools, would there actually be any advantages to not being able to measure anything?

Well school would be a big one and there would be no need to sit most of the maths classes which is always a bonus to most of the population. There is not going to be a need for people to go outside in the cold with that ruler and that strange wheel counting all of the metres, what was the point. Alegbra would fianlly no longer exist, what was the reason it was around anyway?

I really would like to put a stop to maths but the thing is, we really do need it
